NSHAMA Sales Centre

Acoulite were excited to be involved in the fast track sales centre project for the developer NSHAMA. NSHAMA is a prominent Dubai developer responsible for the new 31 million Sq. ft. Downtown mixed commercial and residential project: inclusive of 3,000 houses, 18,000 apartments and as well as hotels, restaurants, cinemas and 350 retail outlets.

The space Acoulite was hired to collaborate on was a temporary sales centre to advertise the NSHAMA project. The whole project, including design and delivery, had to be completed in 5 weeks, in time for the grand opening. Due to this tight deadline the majority of the lighting products and other items had to come from Acoulite’s existing stock with a few bespoke pieces, which were manufactured locally under Acoulite’s design team’s coordination.

Acoulite’s brief was to design a temporary sales space, which reflected the NSHAMA project’s lighting scheme. This was to create continuity and a sense of what the clients would be viewing at the new Downtown location. Acoulite collaborated with the project’s interior designer LW Design (http://www.lwdesigngroup.com) and the contractor AMBB Interiors (http://www.ambbinteriors.com).

Acoulite had to create a uniform lighting solution for both the café and sales area. For the interior lighting design, Flos Soft Architecture (http://www.flos.com/softarchitecture/en/products/) 3m drums were used to create the illusion of a more intimate space whilst maintaining the volume of the project’s interior. In addition, custom-made halogen industrial style pendants were used to create a warm lighting texture and a welcoming environment for customers. Custom wall lights were ordered and made locally to enhance the warm and homely feeling of the space. NSHAMA released a Youtube video for clients to view the completed project.

Acoulite provided all lighting, existing and custom designed, on time and the sales centre was successfully opened by the deadline. The clients were delighted with the end appearance and it fully reflected the tone and quality of the project.
