The world’s largest Roller Coaster Restaurant

ROGO’s was located at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, where the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix and the indoor theme park Ferrari World are located.

A tornado-shaped, gigantic spiral is the restaurant’s main attraction. Several loops and sensational rail tracks also contribute to the entertainment of the 360 seat restaurant. AAID was appointed to create a restaurant environment that both complimented and enhanced the unique roller coaster food delivery system.

The restaurant had to have a unique look and feel that was warm, but contemporary.

Lighting has a major effect in obtaining the look that was required, thus lighting experts Acoulite were appointed as the lighting supplier tasked with supplying lighting to complement and enhance the mood and feel of the restaurant.

The façade highlights the movement of the roller-coaster with large sweeping angled features. In addition, upon entrance one walks through overhanging enclosures to emphasize movement.

The lighting replicates travel with a series of LED tubes directed across the ceiling. It was important for the lighting not to interfere with the roller coaster.The use of Architecture simulates the structure and motion of the roller coaster food delivery system. The space design is intended to be dynamic and fun to enhance the experience in which food is delivered to the consumer through this unique system.
