Ecole 42 Abu Dhabi is a non-profit coding school that offers a unique curriculum to train students in computer programming skills. Designed by Al Tayer Stocks, this project is a one-story level that consists of a computer lab, lecture theatre, staff area, and a silent room, and it is 40,000 sq. ft. As part of their commitment to sustainability, the school wanted to implement an energy-efficient lighting system that would reduce energy consumption and improve the learning environment for students. The school also wanted to have the ability to control and monitor the lighting system to ensure maximum efficiency.

Challenges:The primary challenge for the lighting system installation was to provide uniform and sufficient illumination throughout the while minimizing energy consumption. Additionally, the school wanted to have control over the lighting system, including the ability to adjust lighting levels, turn off lights in unoccupied rooms, and monitor energy usage.
Solution:To meet the school's requirements, our team of lighting experts designed and installed an energy-efficient LED lighting system with intelligent lighting controls. The LED lighting fixtures were chosen for their high efficiency, long life, and excellent color rendering properties. The lighting fixtures were strategically placed to ensure uniform and sufficient illumination throughout the school.
The controls included occupancy sensors that automatically turn off lights in unoccupied areas, daylight sensors that adjust lighting levels based on the amount of natural light available, and a centralized control system that allows administrators to adjust lighting levels and monitor energy consumption in real-time.
Results:The new lighting system has significantly reduced energy consumption at Ecole 42 Abu Dhabi while providing a comfortable and well-lit environment for students. The energy savings have also resulted in cost savings for the school. The intelligent lighting controls have given administrators complete control over the lighting system, allowing them to optimize energy usage and reduce unnecessary lighting.
