Designed by Broadway Interiors, the new Command Control Centre is a bold architectural statement. Acoulite was appointed to deliver the lighting design and supply for this landmark project—ensuring every light source complemented both the technical functionality and the immersive visual language of the space.

Scope of Work
Acoulite’s scope involved complete lighting layout development, lux level calculations, product specifications, sample provisions, and the design of bespoke luminaires. The objective was to enhance operational performance, align with Broadway’s futuristic design vision, and integrate lighting seamlessly into the space’s narrative.
Design Intent & Lighting Strategy
Inspired by the vastness and tranquility of space, the lighting design was developed to support concentration, mood, and precision. It was never about literal themes—it was about subtle cues and immersive effects that reinforce the UAE’s forward-looking mission. Each zone was treated uniquely, with carefully selected fixtures and controls to match function, mood, and flow.
Feature Highlight: Celestial Corridor
In the curved corridor, Broadway designed a perforated ceiling with CNC-cut panels. Acoulite introduced concealed LED modules behind these panels to create a glowing star-like effect—offering visitors a sense of walking through a cosmic pathway. The lighting serves both as a visual landmark and a thematic bridge between zones.
Bespoke Decorative Lighting
Some of the meeting rooms called for custom-made lighting elements that didn’t exist off-the-shelf. Acoulite engineered entirely bespoke solutions based on Broadway’s design concepts, creating detailed shop drawings and delivering fixtures that brought the interiors to life while meeting all performance standards.
VIP Viewing Room: Stars Above and Around
The private viewing suite—reserved for royal guests during launches—is one of the most iconic spaces in the project. It features a fiber-optic starlit ceiling and matching starlit wall panels, evoking a galaxy-like experience. Acoulite layered this with high-performance perimeter downlights to balance ambiance with functionality. The lighting is fully programmable with preset scenes—such as “Mission Mode”—that shift the mood instantly by turning off ambient lights and activating only the star fields.
Operational Lighting in the Command Hub
In the mission-critical control center, lighting had to support round-the-clock operations. Acoulite implemented glare-free linear fixtures, task lighting for operator desks, and step-integrated LEDs for safe movement. The lighting was zoned and controlled independently, ensuring flexibility across departments while preserving visual clarity and cohesion.
Coordination & Execution
From concept through to completion, Acoulite worked closely with Broadway Interiors, contractors, and system integrators. Being involved early in the process enabled seamless alignment between lighting systems and architectural intent. Despite the project’s complexity and tight timelines, all lighting was delivered and installed on schedule.
