Mediclinic is centrally located in Dubai Creek Harbour, offering a modern and welcoming healthcare environment designed to support the well-being of individuals and families. The facility provides a comfortable, kid-friendly atmosphere where patients feel cared for while receiving high-quality medical services. Summertown Interiors was appointed to execute the fit-out, based on the design by Massa Interior Design & Architecture.

Overview
The project involved merging three existing ground-floor units into a seamless space, incorporating patient waiting areas, consultation rooms, a nurse’s station, and medical utility rooms to enhance functionality and patient experience. Acoulite was entrusted with supplying the lighting solutions, ensuring optimal illumination that complements the design while enhancing comfort and efficiency.

The project incorporated layered lighting—blending ambient, task, and accent lighting for both aesthetics and efficiency.
Custom feature lighting enhanced key areas like waiting rooms and reception, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Human-centric lighting with warm, natural tones promoted relaxation and well-being for patients and staff.
Thoughtfully integrated into architectural elements, the lighting design complemented modern interiors while ensuring energy efficiency through LED solutions, reducing operational costs.
Lighting Highlights
The design emphasized glare control with UGR below 19, ensuring visual comfort for patients, staff, and visitors. A combination of linear suspended downlights, indirect lighting, and task-specific illumination enhanced both functionality and aesthetics. A calming and welcoming atmosphere was created in patient areas, with adjustable brightness levels accommodating different needs, from examinations to relaxation zones.
BuzziSpace elements were integrated to enhance acoustic comfort, reducing noise levels and creating a more peaceful environment. Their sound-absorbing panels and furniture contributed to a quieter space, improving the overall experience for both patients and healthcare professionals.
