The Solution:
In response to the challenges, meticulous planning ensured that lighting solutions not only enhanced aesthetics but also fulfilled practical needs. Dimmable lights and task-oriented fixtures were utilised to create a functional yet sophisticated environment.
Integrating lighting solutions into the architectural design involved careful selection of fixtures that complemented the space's overall aesthetics while meeting specific functional requirements. Incorporating energy-efficient lighting technologies addressed sustainability goals for LEED certification.
Leveraging Acoulite's relationships with manufacturers enabled the procurement of necessary components that met the exact specifications and fittings, all within the client’s budget. Effective communication and coordination among multiple disciplines facilitated smooth integration of lighting solutions with the project's overall objectives, ensuring that project goals were met without compromising on quality or design integrity.
Key Lighting Features: Designed by Studio N and Supplied by Acoulite
1. Reception Area Illumination: A gently illuminated cove above reception, combined with integrated linear lights beneath the desk, created a crisp and bright aesthetic. Vertical illumination washes the back wall, highlighting the company name.
2. Wayfinding and Perimeter Lighting: Punctuating downlights along glazed dividers and workspace portals facilitate wayfinding and emphasise access points. Clean perimeters of glass walkways are illuminated, fostering an atmosphere of concentration and productivity.
3. Work Booth Lighting: Subtle linear lights and task-oriented fixtures provide comfortable light levels within glass work booths, ensuring a practical working environment conducive to productivity.
4. Meeting Room Lighting: Warm materiality in meeting rooms is echoed in the lighting scheme. Linear lights immersed within dark wooden frames hover above conference tables, creating a collaborative atmosphere.
5. Sustainability: The lighting design contributes to achieving LEED certification by incorporating energy-efficient technologies and best practices in lighting solutions, aligning with the U.N.'s Sustainable Development Goals.
