Lighting Concept
The lighting was envisioned to:
- Elevate architectural features (e.g. the sculptural staircase and marble detailing)
- Support varied workstyles (from boardrooms to hot desks)
- Reflect the brand identity of One offices and complement the One Za’abeel aesthetic
Acoulite worked closely with SN Spec and all stakeholders during value engineering (VE) stages to optimize costs without compromising on design or performance.
Key Solutions Delivered
- Kreon Cool System:
A signature feature throughout the open-plan workstations. The minimalist linear luminaires echo the sleek, horizontal geometry of One Za’abeel’s bridge, subtly reflecting the logo’s linear identity. The Kreon system ensures uniform, glare-free task lighting that blends into the architectural ceiling design.
- Reception Chandelier:
A bespoke sculptural chandelier anchors the dramatic double-height reception. Positioned above the sweeping staircase, it acts as both an art piece and ambient lighting source, enhancing the arrival experience with visual impact and warmth.
Key Solutions Delivered
- Flos and Intra Track Systems:
Installed in corridors, collaboration zones, and display niches, these flexible track systems offer spotlighting, wall-wash effects, and accent illumination—ideal for adapting to future layout shifts.
Visual Identity Integration
One of the most compelling aspects of this lighting execution is how the Kreon system mirrors the design language of the One Za’abeel towers. Just as the bridge links two monumental towers, the linear lights visually connect the zones of the workspace—functional light as architectural metaphor.
Signature Lighting Feature: Sculptural Bird Installation
Suspended above the bronze staircase, this sculptural bird lighting installation serves as a poetic focal point and an architectural statement. Composed of dozens of delicate, illuminated bird-like forms, the installation creates a sense of upward motion and fluidity—mirroring the energy and innovation that One Offices embodies.
Signature Lighting Feature: Sculptural Bird Installation
Each “bird” is lit with pinpoint precision, giving the effect of movement and depth while softly glowing to complement the ambient light. Set within a circular ceiling recess and surrounded by adjustable downlights, the installation offers 360-degree visual drama—visible from below, across the lounge, and even from the upper levels.
This feature is more than decorative—it reinforces the design language of freedom, elevation, and connection, echoing the brand’s vision and the verticality of One Za’abeel itself.
